A route to shape around your client
This Åre ski holiday by train combines four mountain nights with Stockholm at either end. A single ski base makes it easier to match lessons, rental collection and lift access to each client, while the city nights allow more relaxed rail and flight connections.
The outline allows 6 nights, including arrival and departure planning. Keep the sequence, extend a favourite base or change the balance of activity and downtime. This is an illustrative FIT journey for travel agents; accommodation, transport and experiences are selected for the final brief.
A flexible starting point
A resort-skiing concept, not a backcountry itinerary. Match ski area, lessons and accommodation to ability. Daytime trains occupy most of a day; use confirmed schedules and protect the final Stockholm night.
Winter & Arctic
We can tailor this outline, combine it with another route, or design a new programme from scratch.

Suggested experiences and services
Hotel and activity examples to shape your client’s journey. Availability, suitability and final inclusions are confirmed for each brief.
Hotel examples
Holiday Club Åre
A lakeside hotel connected to Åre station by a footbridge. Its location makes a useful starting point for clients arriving by train with ski luggage.
Hotel Skeppsholmen, Stockholm
Premium example. An island setting within central Stockholm, combining historic buildings with contemporary design for the city nights.
Activity examples
Ski lessons in the appropriate Åre area — select meeting points and slopes around ability, rather than assuming every client uses the same lifts.
A flexible mountain day — choose further skiing or time in the village according to energy and weather.
Indicative programme
Use this itinerary as a starting point. We can adapt the pace, accommodation and experiences around your client’s interests and travel dates.

Day 6
Back to Stockholm
Travel south by train and settle into Stockholm for the evening. Keeping a city night after this longer journey gives you time for dinner and avoids linking the rail transfer directly to an international flight. Overnight: Stockholm.

Day 7
Departure
Leave Stockholm for the airport after the final city night. The stay can be extended for clients who would like to balance their time on the slopes with more of the capital.
