A route to shape around your client
This Faroe Islands journey combines Tórshavn, Eysturoy villages and the landscapes of Vágar. Four nights in the capital make day trips flexible, while the final night on Vágar places travellers closer to the airport and leaves time for weather-related changes.
The outline allows 5 nights, including arrival and departure planning. Keep the sequence, extend a favourite base or change the balance of activity and downtime. This is an illustrative FIT journey for travel agents; accommodation, transport and experiences are selected for the final brief.
A flexible starting point
Allow room to swap the boat day with land visits. Driving, tunnels and short walks need separate timing checks. Avoid exposed cliffs in poor visibility and keep the final night on Vágar before the flight.

Day 1
Arrival on Vágar
Arrive on Vágar and continue to Tórshavn, leaving time to settle into the capital. A short local walk offers an introduction to the islands without adding a demanding hike to the travel day. Overnight: Tórshavn.

Day 2
Tórshavn and Kirkjubøur
Explore Tórshavn’s old town and visit nearby Kirkjubøur for a different view of Faroese history. The afternoon leaves space for local food and an unhurried return to your accommodation in the capital. Overnight: Tórshavn.

Day 3
Sea cliffs
A boat trip from Vestmanna can reveal the sea cliffs when sailing conditions are suitable. If the sea prevents the outing, sheltered village visits provide an alternative while keeping the same Tórshavn base. Overnight: Tórshavn.

Day 4
Eysturoy villages
Travel to Eysturoy for village stops and a short walk suited to the day’s conditions. Limiting the walking programme leaves time to enjoy the coastal roads and spend longer in the places that interest you. Overnight: Tórshavn.

Day 5
Vágar with breathing room
Return to Vágar for Gásadalur and accessible viewpoints when conditions permit. The afternoon stays flexible, followed by a night on the airport island so the final morning needs no long excursion or transfer. Overnight: Vágar.
