A route to shape around your client
Svolvær provides a practical gateway for a Lofoten ski-and-sail journey. Four nights aboard connect coastal scenery with guided touring, without fixing a summit list in advance. A night ashore before and after the voyage gives individual travellers a calmer arrival and return.
The outline allows 6 nights, including arrival and departure planning. Keep the sequence, extend a favourite base or change the balance of activity and downtime. This is an illustrative FIT journey for travel agents; accommodation, transport and experiences are selected for the final brief.
A flexible starting point
A private FIT charter concept for confident ski tourers. Routes follow the guide’s avalanche assessment and the skipper’s marine forecast. Protect the arrival and final nights ashore; short domestic connections need extra margin.

Day 1
Svolvær
Arrive in Svolvær and meet the mountain guide to review your touring equipment and experience. A night ashore allows time to settle in before boarding, without fitting a ski objective into the travel day. Overnight: Svolvær.

Day 2
A sheltered first passage
Meet the skipper, review safety on board and sail towards the first suitable base. The opening passage introduces the islands from the water, with a deliberately light afternoon before the touring days begin. Overnight: aboard.

Day 3
Island slopes
Go ashore for a guided tour selected around the snow, wind and your experience. The boat remains your base, allowing the day to focus on a suitable mountain route before returning aboard for the evening. Overnight: aboard.

Day 4
Follow the conditions
The next outing may begin from a new anchorage or a more sheltered sector already explored. If the guide advises against skiing, a shore walk or harbour visit offers another way to discover the islands. Overnight: aboard.

Day 5
Final touring day
A final guided tour can be planned before the return passage, provided conditions and timing allow. The guide and skipper leave enough daylight for the landing, transfer and onward navigation. Overnight: aboard.

Day 6
Harbour and coast
Disembark in Svolvær and settle into a hotel for the final night ashore. The afternoon can include a local cultural visit or simply rest, while also leaving useful room for any sailing delay. Overnight: Svolvær.
